Jury verdict

Dóra Balla → Clean instead of simple, consciusly and consistently delicate and sensitive work in every aspect. It’s a pleasure in terms of visual education too, that children growing up in a visually overloaded age get to have experiences such as the one offered by this book.

Anna Bárdi → Uncharacteristically for its genre, the airy layout and significant negative spaces work very well with the elegantly designed illustrative content.

Ákos Déri → Clearly stands out of the rather weak competition. The genre is lucky, the layout airy, the drawings nice. Things would have been different in a stronger category.

Bea Istvánkó → The letters of the alphabet are presented by uniquely drawn illustrations in this book with a cover reminiscent of elementary school notebooks. The illustrations are sufficiently emhasized with other design elements playing second fiddle to the pictorial content.

L2 → Lovable watercolor illustrations, spacious layout, simple concept. It is noteworthy that the author of the book is also its designer and illustrator.

Szilágyi Róza Tekla → A well-designed, simple but elegant alphabet book whose lettering style and illustrations form a cohesive whole.

Valuska László → The cover of Julianna Litkei’s alphabet book doesn’t try to sell itself and this modesty and simplicity in turn becomes its message. Among the books competing for our attention in the media noise modesty and simplicity stand out – inside the drawings and the accompanying texts facilitate the easiest connection for children.
